Samsung OfficeServ 7100/7200 Series Configuration Guide

This document is provided as a basic guideline for setup and configuration of Samsung OfficeServ 7100/7200 Series IP PBX systems with SIPTRUNK’s SIP Service. This guideline is based on SIPTRUNK’s testing and validation process. This guideline does not include configuration information for advanced features such as voicemail, auto attendant, call forwarding, etc. SIPTRUNK is not responsible for IP PBX configurations. For programming information on advanced features, refer to your IP PBX administration manuals. This document provides recommendations for setting up Firewall settings. SIPTRUNK is not responsible for the security of your phone system or network. These recommendations should be validated with your network engineer for proper security management.

Overview

This document provides detailed instructions on how to configure your SIPTRUNK SIP Service on a Samsung OfficeServ 7100/7200 IP PBX. Samsung OfficeServ 7100/7200 series IP PBX is an “all­in­one” converged IP PBX solution.

Service Notes

The following notes are related to deploying SIPTRUNK SIP Service. This information is standard connection information for deploying SIPTRUNK SIP Service.

-Outbound calls should be formatted as country code followed by number for example in the US: “1” followed 10 digits.

-Outbound calls must have the called number in the “username” field of the SIP Request URI and the “username” field of the To header.

-Originating Numbers (Caller­ID) must be formatted as 10 digits and must be present in the username field of the SIP From header.

-Inbound calls will be presented to your system as “1” plus 10 digits in the Request­URI.

-We will not terminate calls from a Toll­Free Number to another Toll­Free Number

-Only SIP URIs are supported in the Request­URI, From, To, and Contact headers.

-Codecs available are G.711, and G.729a. (RFC2833 DTMF and T.38 Fax are

also supported)

-REFER, PRACK, and Session Timers are not supported.

-Re­INVITE messages should only be used when changing between voice

and T.38 mode.

-Modem, Credit Card, or ATM traffic is not supported.

 

 

Firewall Settings

SIPTRUNK recommends the following firewall configurations when your PBX sits behind a router/firewall performing NAT.

NAT Rules

- SIP Signaling Rule:

  • UDP ­Public IP Address of Firewall: 5060 <- -> Private IP Address of System: 5060

  • SIP Media Rule:

  • UDP ­Public IP Address of Firewall: RTP Port Range <- -> Private IP Address of System: RTP Port Range

Firewall Policies

- SIP Signaling Policy:

  • Public IP Address of Firewall: 5060 can be accessed from SIPTRUNK SIP Server IP Addresses (gw1.siptrunk.com): 5060

- SIP Media Policy:

  • Public IP Address of Firewall: RTP Port Range can be accessed from ANY IP Address on ANY Port. We highly recommend that SIP ALG or any other SIP transformation settings are disabled within your firewall

 

 

Configuration

The information below provides detailed instructions on how to configure a Samsung OfficeServ 7100/7200 series IP PBX with SIPTRUNK SIP Service.

2.3.0 Virtual Cabinet -> Virtual Cabinet Information

 

Configure the Virtual Cabinet Information page within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utility with the following settings.

 

 

  • Set “Cabinet 4 Slot 1” to SIP-STN

 

2.1.5 System Options -> VoIP RTP Option

Configure the System Options page within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

  • Set “DTMF Type” to Inband(RFC2833)

  • Set “MPS Service” to Off

  • Set “No MPS>>MGI” to On

  • Set “SIPT >> SIPT MGI Use” to Off

  • Set “SIPT Ringback Message” to 183

 

5.2.13 SIP Carrier Options

Configure the SIP Carrier Options within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity Username/Password Registration Account Settings with the following settings.

  • Set “SIP Carrier Name” to SIPTRUNK (Reg)

  • Set “SIP Server Enable” to Enable

  • Set “Registra Address” to gw1.siptrunk.com

  • Set “Registra Port” to 5060

  • Set “Outbound Proxy” to gw1.siptrunk.com

  • Set “Outbound Proxy Port” to 5060

  • Set “DNS Server 1” to 208.67.222.222

  • Set “DNS Server 2” to 208.67.220.220

  • Set “Username” to Trunk Number provided by SIPTRUNK

  • Set “Auth Username” to Trunk Number provided by SIPTRUNK

  • Set “Auth Password” to Trunk Password provided by SIPTRUNK

  • Set “Register per User” to Disable

  • Set “Session Timer” to None

  • Set “Session Expire Time” to 60

  • Set “Trunk Reg Expire Time” to 60

  • Set “Alive Notify” to None

  • Set “Alive Notify Time” to 60

  • Set “IMS Option” to Disable

  • Set “P Asserted ID Use” to None

  • Set “Privacy” to Disable

  • Set “SIP Peering” to Disable

  • Set “Send CLI Table” to 1

  • Set “Supplementary Type” to Server Managed

  • Set “302 Response” to Disable

  • Set “SIP Destination Type” to Request-URI

  • Set “Codec Auto Nego” to Enable

  • Set “Hold Reinvite” to Disable

  • Set “URI Type” to SIP

  • Set “SIP Signaling Type” to UDP

  • Set “E164 Support” to Disable

  • Set “PRACK Support” to Disable

  • Set “Hold Mode” to Send Only

  • Set “Response to Tag” to Keep

  • Set “SIP Connection Reuse” to Disable

  • Set “SIP Trunking Codec PR1” to G.711u

  • Set “SIP Trunking Codec PR1” to G.729a



2.4.3 Send CLI Number

Configure the Send CLI Number options within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

• Set the CLI Number for the desired extension to the number associated with the appropriate trunk. In this example, we used 4705555400 for all extensions.



3.2.3 DID Ringing

Configure the DID Ringing options within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

  • Set the Incoming Digits to the appropriate number associated with the trunk. In this example, we used 14605555400.

  • Set the desired extension in the 1st column of the “Ring Plan” section. In this example, we used 3201.

 

2.7.1 Virtual Port Configuration -> ITP Information

Configure the ITP Information page within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

 

  • Set “DSP Type” to G.711

  • Set “Use IP White List” to Disable

 

2.7.2 Virtual Port Configuration -> SIP Phone Information

Configure the SIP Phone Information page within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

  • Set “Use IP White List” to Disable

 

2.8.0 Numbering Plan

Configure the Numbering Plan page within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

  • There are no changes required if the default numbering plan is ok. For the purpose of this example the default numbering plan is used.

 

4.1.2 Group & Table -> Grouping -> Trunk Groups

Configure the Trunk Groups page within the Samsung Device Manager or Installation Tool Utliity with the following settings.

 

  • Set the “Group Type” to SIP

  • Set the “Group Mode” to Sequential

  • Set the “Default SIP Trunk Number in Group 9 - ISP Selection 1” to 8501 through 8508
