3CX IP-PBX V 12.5 SIPTRUNK.com Trunk Configuration

DO NOT USE Version 3CX 15 SP2. There are known issues with this release and the way it handles audio transmission.

1) Install and confirm 3CX v12.5 running on Windows

2) When setting up VoIP Provider, choose Country "US"

choose SIPTRUNK.com under Provider Box,

3) For the VOIP Provider Details:

SIP server hostname or IP = gw.siptrunk.com

SIP Server port = 5060

Outbound proxy hostname or IP = LEAVE THIS BLANK

Outbound proxy port = 5060

 4) Under Account Details, fill in these values

External Number = YOUR SIPTRUNK.com TRUNK ID NUMBER (found on the SIPTRUNK.com Control Panel, usually starts with ’42’)

Simultaneous Calls = Number of SIP Trunk channels you have purchased for this trunk

5) Under Advanced tab:

Provider Capabilities - Check the ‘Supports ‘Replace’’, ‘PBX Delivers Audio’ and ‘Disable Video’ boxes

****NOTE: If you have issues with call parking or call forwarding, try toggling the "Supports Replace" feature off. If that corrects your issue, it means your subsequent INVITES were too large for a standard UDP packet and had to be fragmented. Leaving this option off does not cause any issues with our service, but may increase processing requirements on your 3CX server.****

Registration Settings:

Time between registration attempts = 60

Require Registration =  Incoming Calls

Codec Priorities = G.711 U-law (we also support G.729 for low bitrate applications, however G.711 U-law is recommended)

7) Under the Outbound Parameters tab:

Ensure the Variable is set correctly for each SIP Field.

8) Under the Inbound Parameters tab:

Ensure the Variable is set correctly for each SIP Field.

9) Under the DID tab:

Add the DID with a * plus the 10 digit DID. Ex: *4045554190

10) Under the Source ID tab:

Check the Source identification by DID box.

In the SIP Filed containing DID numbers select ‘To: User Part’ from the dropdown

Click the Add DID button and select the DID to be entered in to the Source Identification by DID box

11) Set up the Inbound Routes for calls to DIDs not entered into the Source Identification by DID box

Select the Trunk Ex: VoIP Providers > SIPTRUNK.com > 5255555555

Then select where to send the call for Office Hours and Outside of office hours Ex: Connect to Extension 100

12) Set up the Inbound Routes for calls to DIDs which are entered into the Source Identification by DID box

Select the Trunk and DID Ex: VoIP Providers > SIPTRUNK.com > 5255555555 > *4045554190
